Horse Ownership Program
Practical advice to consider about owning or leasing a horse
- Can I afford to lease or buy a horse of my own?
- I can help you outline all the costs involved in owning a horse to determine whether it's something you and your family can afford.
- I can also help you negotiate a lease agreement if that's preferable.
- How do I find a horse or pony for myself or my child?
- I can walk you through the vetting process so you find the right horse to suit you or your child's needs and to fit your budget.
- How much time would be required to care for my horse?
- If you and your horse are part of the Spectrum Equestrian Program, I can help you care for your horse by assisting with special feeding needs, administering medicines and vaccinations when needed, and be present and watchful as I am with all horses in my program.
- What about clothing and supplies?
- Don't worry, I can help you with that too. I can give you a list of all the tack items you'll need to outfit yourself and your horse.
